I don’t know if anyone has taken the time to watch Question Period today, but this “Robo-call” thing is a complete and utter joke.
One member says there is “all kinds of evidence” while another opposition member says “The Tories have the evidence and are hiding it..” and Bob Rae says “they’ve turned everything over” but that the government “has all the information..”
Huh??
It’s such a circus. It is absolutely hilarious to watch the Liberals and NDP, who can’t STAND a Tory majority government, including their buddies in the mainstream media, make such a mountain out of something of which there is no evidence.
The Prime Minister has said that Elections Canada should initiate a full investigation and that if the opposition parties have any evidence whatsoever, they should turn it over to Elections Canada immediately.
Doesn’t sound like much to hide there.
It’s a farce. It’s a joke. It’s a charade – so typical of Bob Rae and the Liberal Party of Canada that voters rejecting so astoundingly during the last election.

i would like to see some conservative commentary on the blogging tories but it is generally lacking. there really must be someone other than myself that is truly conservative on this site. i have had comments bumped, dropped or whatever one would call it but most posters here are not conservative or they are terrified of the government. that government is supposed to be conservative. what the h-ll is wrong with so clled conservative canadians????

Let me make this clear – if something actually happened then someone needs to be punished and even sent to jail. But this show being put on without any evidence under Parliamentary priviledge is a joke.
I too am amazed that there is such attention given to this issue based on exactdly NO EVIDENCE — just lots of hyperbole and innuendo. The media is being completely irresponsible on this, while the Libs and NDP are playing the usual games. I think one reason Canadians voted for a majority this time is because they got quite sick of politics being about nothing but faux scandals. In this case, any idiot would recognize that had even a handful of people been prevented from voted because of being mislead, there would have been a great hew and cry immediately after the election in any riding where the numbers were close. We have no idea who is responsible for the robo calls. My guess is NDP or their union supporters. The media is being as duplicitous as they are accusing the CPC of being.
Like I said – if somebody did this then they deserve to be punished. But right now there is no evidence – let alone any evidence the Conservative Party of Canada let alone the Prime Minister sanctioned and put money into this as the Liberals are suggesting. Pat Martin even went so far as to state “Nobody buys the lone gunman on the sixth floor of the school book depository story.” WTF? Grasping at straws.

I have read the reports that Elections Canada released. There looks to be plenty of evidence, unfortunately for the Conservative party.
trusty tory. i am talking about the blogging tories as a whole. you have to provide info to so many different places ie facebook etc to comment it shows me that most are afraid of the government shutting them down. i don’t think i am wrong.
what I don’t understand don’t it say on there voting card where they vote at it did on mine that is what I went bye. and it all worked out besides you can vote a different voting places as long as it’s for the same person in your riding. I have done that before. but if all else fails phone your constituency office. and check your voting card I did. I really don’t see the hoopla about this anyways.

Looks like this X-employee had a hand in this confusion at the Thunder Bay call centre RMG reported in todays Toronto Star…QUOTE below from the story
Desgagné, alone, said some workers shortened their script — although they weren’t supposed to — and said “… I’m calling from Elections Canada …”
Desgagné’s recollection of the job was largely corroborated by two other women contacted Sunday by the Star. Neither wanted to be named. All worked at RMG throughout the 2011 campaign on Conservative Party voter identification and on get-out-the-vote calls.
Looks like it was the” Liberals” that were responsible for the Vic Toews smear on wikki leaks and twitter…its on QP CPAC right now. PROOF and Bob Rae is eating crow.
Pat Martin will be spending the majority of the next few months in court over the comments that he has made on this. He is being sued every single time he opens his mouth. He should actually be forced to resign due to the simple fact that he will be spending more time in court than he will be doing his MP duties.
So as usual any real and important news gets ignored and instead we get fabricated outrage from the Left. Let’s see I think we first had the “national dilemma” of making the long census form voluntary instead of jailing people who preferred to protect their privacy. Then there was the demise of the CWB, or rather granting farmers the right to sell their grain to the best buyer instead of facing jail for not selling it to the CWB. In-between all this we had our troops accused of war crimes and a lot of other fabricated scandals. It is no wonder the consensus media continue to lose readers and viewers.

She remembered the polling station script specifically instructed the callers to identify themselves as calling “on behalf of” the Conservative Party, “but not every call centre agent said it.”
As each call ended, the computer auto-dialled the next number. The calls went to ridings across Canada; two employees said most calls went to Ontario ridings.
Rae had to get up an apologize again for a reference he made to some company. We need the name of the staffer.
The Liberals keep forgetting who they’re up against. Stephen Harper is out of their league.

One former RMG employee, a woman aged 24, said she thought at the time that the incorrect polling station addresses coming up on her screen were simply a “computer glitch,” so she started advising people they should check with Elections Canada to be sure.
Bob rae is up now wanting an emergency debate…and Elizabeth May now too. What a bunch of losers.
elizabeth may does not diserve to be herd because she should be Resigning her seat if she is going to be a member of the new guinia parliment. she is not allowed to double dip like this and I can’t understand why people aren’t out raged about it and asking for her seat to be resigned.

Bob Rae named the staffer…Adam Carol….in his 30′s…..His scrum with the media was mostly answered by him in french with no interperter. The investigation by parliament found the name of the staffer and contacted Bob Rae. They were caught. CBC cut off Bob Rae’s scrum answers. Onto the Via rail story now. Moving along.

The National Post and The Toronto Star claim that a call centre in Thunder Bay had callers giving out incorrect information to CONSERVATIVE VOTERS. Supposedly, these callers were hired by the CONSERVATIVE PARTY. Now, why would the Conservative Party benefit by calling their own voters and giving them inaccurate information ?
There are really two issues here.
The first is: Robocalls themselves. If they did redirect voters to false poll stations, that is voter suppression. You go to jail for that. Regardless of who is responsible, an investigation needs to happen. What measures can be put in place to ensure that it never happens again? Impersonating Elections Canada and giving false information to voters is not even in the same league as Vikileaks. Vikileaks= Immoral. Robocalls= ILLEGAL!
The second is : Who is responsible? I’m not sure that we will ever learn who is ultimately responsible for Robocalls because the trail is too well hidden.
So, do Canadians have a right to point fingers at this point? NO.
However, do Canadians have a right to be upset that these calls happened? ABSOLUTELY!
