Boy. It must really suck to be a member of the Liberal Party of Canada these days. They get their butts handed to them in the election, they’re reduced to allowing Bob Rae as their interim leader, they suggest putting another Trudeau at the helm – and now they get a lashing by the Supreme Court of Canada.
“The Supreme Court Thursday overturned an Ontario judge’s order for a byelection in the Toronto riding of Etobicoke Centre.
As a result, the court preserved Conservative MP Ted Opitz’s 26-vote victory over second-place finisher and incumbent Liberal Borys Wrzesnewskyj. Nearly 53,000 votes were cast in the riding in the May 2, 2011, election.
In a first-of-its-kind ruling, the Supreme Court, in a narrow 4-3 decision, disagreed with Ontario Superior Court Justice Thomas Lederer that some ballots in the riding were improperly cast.
Earlier this year, Lederer decided that 79 ballots were improperly cast because there was evidence at least a few people voted twice in the riding and that, in other cases, there was insufficient proof that the ballots were cast by someone who was entitled to vote in that riding…”
How the mighty have fallen.

This leaves that nut Maude Barlow and her leftie organization out in the cold. The Supremes have established case law which judges are now going to have to follow. They will be sucking wind if they think they are going to win their case particularly since their case relies on that uber, crappy pollster, Graves.
You’re right about the liberal party being a bunch of losers but what really scares the hell outta me is the fact that those bastards in the east are the ones who really decide who the PM is. Now with this pretty boy Trudeau movement we just might see the east jump on the red wave bandwagon and elect him as PM. That Jack Layton thing last trip around was a prime example of just how wise they are out there. I could very well see it happening again with hair due Trudeau and his McLean’s magazine shenanigans of how great I wish I am.
Strange . . . to date – not much [leftoid(?)] media coverage on this story.
That leaves me with a couple of possibly underlying reasons for this void.
a.] Perhaps all the left-oriented pseudo-journoids are slow in reading and coming up with some story here, because that sort of work takes a whole lotta brain power so’s one could appear to be somewhat sentient.
—– and / or —–
b.] All the left-oriented pseudo-journoids are slow in covering this decision by The Supremes ’cause this further deflates the unravelling of the fatuous, self-promoting, auto generated liebrano ego — and/or this must be tidings of great grief for the librano machine and the enablers.
Now — just how, exactly can these possibilities, not be a good thing?
Probably by Monday the propaganda machine will be screaming “Unfair!!!” at the top of their lungs,’cause their poor little posterboy got beat, anytime a lefty gets schooled it’s unfair.
The Liberals will be locked in a cage match with Mucair’s NDP and whatever remains of the BQ in Quebec next election; there is very little reason to believe they have room to grow in the rest of Canada any time soon (and they are certainly not working on policy to change that either).
Knocking back the NDP, keeping the BQ at under 15 seats and building their own seat count in Quebec will count a s a victory for the LPC in 2015.
